Go to Registration -->

When: Fall, usually mid to late October every year
Who can apply: Open to all youth grades 9-12 but with Asian Americans focus.

Through hands-on media training, the Media Camp for Asian American Youth will provide students with a chance to explore current issues in forms which can effectively reach a broad audience.

Students will then collaborate with each other in production groups and produce their own short videos, written articles and photographs.

Students will learn:

  • Video Editing: learn how to piece together a story using non-linear editing technology on a computer
  • Creative Writing: learn how to write through experiences and emotion
  • Photography: discover the power of photography; tell stories through photographs; learn operations of a camera and composition of scenes
When to Apply: late September to mid October
